Modeling and analysis of a three-degree-of-freedom piezoelectric vibration energy harvester for broadening bandwidth

This study proposes a multi-frequency response piecewise-linear piezoelectric vibration energy harvester (MFRPLP-VEH) by combining the linear resonance and nonlinear bandwidth broadening methods to improve working frequency environmental robustness of harvester. A theoretical model is established based on electromechanical coupling dynamic MFRPLP-VEH. The harvesting performance width efficiency MFRPLP-VEH were obtained through an experimental verification platform, where resonant frequencies three beam are 28.9, 33.6, 38.6 Hz, respectively. Furthermore, operating range widened 90.9% at external excitation acceleration 10 m/s2. generated 194% its counterpart under same conditions. numerical results verify accuracy broadband
